2010-01-07 -- The 10.0.5 version of Mimer SQL Engine is now available for Linux! This is the first 10.0 version for Linux, and it includes all the new features that comes with 10. Replication, immediate restart, and file size management are some of the new functionality, giving additional options for the database system management. Mimer SQL for BREW
2009-12-01 -- We are happy to present the availability of a beta version of Mimer SQL for the BREW® platform from Qualcomm. BREW is an acronym for Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless. It is an application development environment used mainly for wireless phones. With Mimer SQL present in the BREW environment, developers now can take advantage of a fully standard compliant SQL database using a client/server protocol over a dedicated and effective database API. The Mimer SQL database API for BREW provides an asynchronous programming interface using traditional BREW event callbacks, as well as a synchronous interface style using a thread object. Mimer SQL for Windows x64 edition
2009-04-30 -- We can now present a production release of Mimer SQL for the Windows x64 edition platforms. With this version it is possible to utilize the extended memory available in 64 bits operating systems. The Mimer SQL database caches, usually denoted bufferpool and SQLpool, can now be extended to up to 16 Gigabytes each. In addition, there are new functionalities available, such as immediate database restart and replication. The immediate restart concept gets a Mimer SQL database server fully operational in seconds, even when restarted after a system failure that may force a full database check to occur. With the replication functionality it is possible synchronize the content between different Mimer SQL databases. You will find Mimer SQL for Windows Vista/2008, x64 edition on our download page.
